  Called the clinic to book in Ultrasound & Mammogram for my mom, and was quoted bulk billing since mom has (LIC)health care card. When arrived at the clinic yesterday, she was told they don’t bulk bill her check. I tried to communicate with the receptionist that I was quoted over the phone it is bulk billed and I can provide the date & time of the call. The receptionist didn’t even bother to ask me for these details and told me no. We agreed to pay since she has driven a hour to the clinic, and I suggested again that I can provide the phone call details so you can have better communication inside your team. Guess what the response was from her “ I don’t know how you communicated but this is not bulk billed.” No even want to investigate or improve the communication.
  
  I kind of understand the rating now and feel sorry for the staff who did the checks because they are professional and friendly.
  
  Just felt quite frustrated for the contradictory of information given to us, we would have gone to IMED 10min away from home rather than driving more than 2 hours for the whole trip to this clinic if we weren’t told “no out of pocket cost for the checks”.

  Today 12:30pm. I've given two stars for the friendly and competent reception staff. I found it easy to book an appointment with them, and they were very calming on the day. The radiographer, however, was the worst I've had. Called me in 10 minutes late, then rushed through the entire process. No politeness or sensitivity was given. When I was asked to change into a gown for the breast ultrasound, she only gave me a few seconds before calling, "Come out and lie down." She told me simply to "Turn over" then "No, don't turn over too much." She threw a face mask onto me with no words, which I immediately put on. She seemed to complete the scan quickly and carelessly, then at the end said "Alright, I'll send these to your doctor, give yourself a wipe and you can go." I quickly got changed, wanting to escape the disrespectful space. She hadn't given me instructions on where to put the gown, so I placed it back into the container that I got it from. When she saw it, she said, "Oh." with CONTEMPT. Then followed with, "It's alright, I'll take care of it." But her tone of voice said that it was not alright, and that I had done something wrong. The whole 5-10 minutes she showed incredible rudeness, and it felt even worse when she tried to reframe it as MY rudeness in the end.

  Referred to this place for mammography and ultrasound. The receptionist which was a white woman and wearing a tag name as “ Trainee” was so rude! She looked down at me and gave me such an attitude! Obviously rasist behavior ! They also messed up with my appointment and I had to go back for the second time! They should remember patients who visiting this center are already under stress, no need to make them feel terrible!

  Not a pleasant experience at all. Did my 20 week pregnancy anatomy scan here and they couldn’t tell the gender of the baby. We asked her the gender of the baby half way through the scan and the lady replied “ i have more important things to check first”
  Later she said she couldn’t identify the gender of the baby and said “ its not accurate anyway even if we find it out now” and recommended another scan in a few weeks!
  We went to another radiologist next day paid half the price to find out the gender of the baby and moreover had a great experience throughout the booking process and the scan.

  I had two appointments here over the last week. First I was told to fast, only to arrive and be told no, you need water for this we’re doing them the other way around. I also wasn’t initially informed I’d be out of pocket for this, but was bulk billed entirely when this was made clear to them. Fast forward to appointment number two and again, I’ve been given the wrong information. What was meant to be relatively quick and easy took a little over two hours because I had to start from scratch with water. (My appointment was for 12:30, I arrived at 12:15 and I was seen at 2:15 after being told it would be about an hour wait.)The woman at the desk was very apologetic and the ultrasound tech was very nice the second time around, but the lack of proper information and communication made this far more stressful than it needed to be.

  Overall quite disappointed with my XRay and Ultrasound. When I arrived I was seen quite quickly. The ladies doing the ultrasound and XRay were perfectly amicable but unfortunately there were two issues:
  
  1. The scans picked up a false positive, not the actual issue I had. Overall they showed nothing that matches my clinical symptoms.
  
  2. The OUTRAGOUS out of pocket cost. I was in for no more than 20 minutes and had to pay $185 out of pocket for a wrist ultrasound and an X-Ray. I have had both procedures on different body parts on numerous occasions. I have never paid out of pocket for an XRay and no more than $30 for an ultrasound. Last week, my wife had an ultrasound at another facility that lasted over 30 minutes and paid nothing out of pocket.
  
  In the end I paid $185 for basically nothing. Unless you’re made of money it would be best to go to one of the many other places that won’t charge a small fortune.
